Privacy policy
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit bigwhiteholidays.com (“Big White Holidays”, “we”) and how it is used. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We don’t ask you to create an account, sign up or give us your name. This site doesn’t use advertising networks, third-party analytics or tracking cookies of its own.
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic server logs — such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. These logs are kept by the host and are not used to identify you.
Affiliate links and partner cookies
Some links go to partners such as Booking.com (through the CJ Affiliate network), Amazon.ca and outdoor retailers. When you click one, the partner may set a cookie or use similar technology on its own site to record that you came from us, so we can be paid a commission if you book or buy. Those partners handle that information under their own privacy policies.
Big White Holidays is a participant in the Amazon.ca Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.ca. Amazon and its partners may use cookies to collect information about your visit to Amazon.
Lodging search forms
The date search boxes on our pages don’t store anything on our side. When you press search, your dates and number of guests are sent straight to Booking.com in a new tab.
Embedded maps
Maps load only when you press “Load map”. Once loaded, the map provider may set its own cookies.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work. You can also opt out of interest-based ads from many networks through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning travel and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page.
